Welcome to Sharon Chatfield's Childminding

I live with my husband, two children and a cat near the Walmer area of Deal in a four bed detached home in a quiet cul-de-sac. I married my husband in 2007. We had our first child, my daughter in 2009 and our son 15 months later in 2010.

My Husband works as a civil servant and is also registered with Ofsted to work as my assistant when at home.

Before becoming registered with Ofsted as a childminder in 2005 I spent five years working as a full time, sole charge nanny and many an evening babysitting! I have also undertaken work experience in many different childcare settings including a special needs nursery and a primary school whilst studying childcare at college.

I hold a range of qualifications relevant to childcare including-

• BTEC National Diploma in Early Childhood Studies (level 3 Nursery Nursing)
• Introducing Childminding Practice (ICP)
• Paediatric First Aid (renewed every 3years)
• Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) training
• Child Protection training
• I also like to keep up to date with workshops and short courses.

I am registered with Ofsted and am a member of the NCMA (National Childminding Association). I have an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure, as does my husband plus liability and car insurance including business use for childminding.
